1997 Radiator Tranny Questions

I just p/u a '97 with the Vulcan engine. The car has 79K on it and is otherwise mint.

Does this radiator take only the orange (as opposed to the green) type antifreeze in the radiator ? If so, can I buy that antifreeze fluid at any autopart store and what is it referred to as?

What is involved with a tranny flush? Is just the fluid changed out? Are screens of some sort replaced too?

I've never heard of a Taurus having orange coolant. Mine has green (though it's a model year younger than yours). It also includes several aluminum parts. I know that the color of the coolant is dependent on what type of material your cooling parts are made of. I think copper, brass, and aluminum all take green, but check at Autozone or somewhere like that. If you need to change the fluid quickly and get on the road, straight water works well for me during the summer.
