gmc sierra gfx special edition

hey

i was looking at the local dealer and ran across a 2004 gmc sierra gfx edition

what is so special about this truck?

is it rare?

what does gfx stand for?

its a nice lookin truck the interior is the first ive seen of its kind

does it have more power than a gmc sierra

anyone know anything about these trucks


i might buy it if its worth buying

Stands for Ground Effects. I believe these are dealer installed.

there is nothing different installed on this truck the only thing different is the decal on it that says gfx

i cant find nuttin on the net about it either

gfx is ground effects. The only GMC I can find that actually had his as an option was the Jimmy. If it is used, maybe someone borrowed the decal off of a Jimmy.

i dont think someone borrowed the sticker because the leather seats have gfx edition sewn into the head rests of the leather seats

Perhaps, the ground effects parts have been removed by previous owner.

i dont know what ground effects it would have on it

the truck looks like mine with the fender flares and all except the color on this truck is charcoal

Windsor, Ontario-based Ground Effects is a Tier One supplier for General Motors and a OEM supplier to Tecstar, GMSPO, DaimlerChrysler, Toyota and Saturn

The trucks with the gfx package most notably have a different intrument cluster which is of a white/silver color along with various aftermarket accessories installed under contract to General Motors.

To see what options the truck had done you would probably have to check the serial number with a dealers parts department. You cant buy accessories or parts direct from them, you have to go through the dealership GMSPO
