i am having trouble finding a small coolant leak on my 1996 sts Seville .I've notices some small amount of antifreeze in front of the battery tray. The hose connection is dry .Could the coolant holding tank be leaking ? i guess i need to remove the battery again and check.....has anyone else had this problem?

the dealer installed a new water pump 2 months ago....

should i use barrs leak in this vehicle

You need to top off the coolant then put a pressure tester on the system. That will usually show the leak in minutes.

thats exactly what i did ...it turns out the plastic side was bowing out under pressure causing a pin hole stream under pressure......ok ..i have since replaced the radiator (148 dollars) plus new hoses.....works well...i also added those sealant tabs someone mentioned on this site, thanks

question 1: are both fans suppose to run at the same time? only one fan kicks in.
question 2: in the radiator ,the drivers side cools the transmission fluid.what does the left side cool. (the oil maybe)
thanks in advance.
after a little searching i can only assume the other fan is for the AC.

Both fans should come on with the A/C running. If not, it may be a bad fan.
I'm pretty sure the other side of the radiator is the engine oil cooler.
