Ive had a few that don't like to listen to me, but then again, I'm 17 training a 20 some year old dude, they seem to have a small problem sometimes. but for the most part I havet had too many problems. I also hate those SOB's who are younger than you, and think they can do anything they want their way.

I don't like training people period. Instead of showing someone how to do it and relying on them doing it i'd rather do the job myself since i know how to and i know i can do it right. I'm often the one responsible for training regardless as i'm the only one at my workplace who knows how to do EVERYTHING, literally. Sucks trying to be perfect but can't do it all myself.

Who yells at the person training them? What an ass.

I've always enjoyed training people.

there's training someone for the office and there's showing someone how to do the job, not entirely the same.
I'm usually the one who has to show new people how the office is run and how drawings should be prepared for issue and all that.

Except one time I was watching someone draw an elevation and I really couldn't believe what i was seeing; he was drawing every single line for every single detail.
Imagine, a typical front elevation has 4-5 windows.
Typical window is a bi-pane sash so that's 4 sections of glass per window.
Each piece of glass has it's own beading that sits within a frame.
That frame sits inside yet another frame and then there's sill detail and detail above the window opening as well.
Now imagine how many lines that is and he would draw EVErY SINGLE FUCKING LINE.
It took him maybe half an hour to draw a single window and he would then go through the whole process for the rest of the windows. Even then, he would keep forgetting to manage the line-weights properly which equates to another half an hour to fix...... for each window.

Can't believe I had to show him how to ctrl+c, ctrl+v.

why are you getting so worked up about it? everyone shares parts of their lives here. it's off-topic, as far as the forum decription goes, this content is perfectly fine.

Because AF is not the place to post every little detail of your lives, every single day.

Or should I post about when I have breakfast and after every class I go to?

a post about bad training experience. it's off topic and has nothing to do with cars. Unless ghostrx7 posts his life problems on AF every day, what's the problem?

Hmmmm, maybe since it's a complaining sort of situation, it could go to Stress Release?

edit:

Oh yeah, and you really don't HAVE to train your replacement before you leave, do you?

I had fiber cereal with soy milk this morning for breakfast.

"Fuck's sake." I always liked that saying.

Sure, put it in Stress Release.

But not here.

Not after the five thousand other threads about what's happening in his life this particular week.

This really is like, the 18th thread about his life...

I had whole grain raspberry pancakes for breakfast. And then came home and did laundry. Anyone ever done laundry before? Experiences?

If you don't like his threads, don't open them.

That's a fair call, but the server's having enough issues as is without being clogged with more of this stuff.

That doesn't even make any sense.

My intention is not for him to leave the boards, just for him to stop posting every small detail about his life and trying to disguise it as a legitimate thread.

Which is closed, by the way.
