I have 82000 on my 93 turbo, 2nd gen. It has started to seep oil from directly under the head. The leak is the front side, close to the transmission, then also on the back side, just not as bad, directly under the intake and exhast, under the head.
It is leaking enough to drip on the garage floor, most of the oil is on the front side of the engine. What can I do??
I could use highmilage oil, would it be enough to stop?
Or what other suggestions could I do?
Also is this common, I can't imagin this should be a problem I am facing @ 80k......
Only have raised boost during summer when @ track. Reg oil changes and maitence always.

Have you checked the valve cover gasket? ... distributor?
Those are the two common places to find oil seepage.
Is the oil seeping out or are you losing a serious amount?
Incidently, I would not boost over 15 psi with the stock turbo.

Its not a lot, I would say little spots in garage, 1"x1". Not puddles or anything. When I go to change my oil, 3000 miles later the oil is barley down.
Its just embarising... :uhoh:
It is the head gasket, just on the driver side front. Just the 1st cyl area.
Can i pop the cover off and tighten? When I did my swap I noticed that the cams cover the head bolts, is it the same as the 3sgte?
thanks,

I think you need to get a repair manual as we cant spell everything out for you. haynes will work fine, theres a bgb online somewhere. do some detective work, I've always had luck using tracer dyes and a uv light.
