Anykindaautoparts Complaint

I am new to this but unfortunately have no choice but to ask for advice and assistance from anyone who may have been through this problem before me. In the beginning of Nov/06 my truck engine blew on me and I decided to search the internet for a refurbished engine. John Fortin at Anykindaautoparts replied to me saying he had an engine that would work for me and would ship it to me in Calgary within two (2) weeks of my payment being in his bank account. Unfortunately being trusting and having basic human faith I wired the $2,150.00 directly into his account. It is now Feb. 21st 2007 and I still have not rcvd the engine. I have sent numerous emails and even more numerous phone calls (left message as he refuses to answer) The one email message (about 3 weeks after he rcvd the money) he said someone had bounced a chq on him and he didn't have the money now to pay for the engine on his end. As I said, we have waited patiently for him to fix the problem, engine or repayment of money and he will not answer us. We are in Calgary..he is in Tecumseh, Ont..basically across Canada. I would like to know if anyone out there knows John, has he done this before? His website is very well done and his words are very misleading. How do I get my money back? He certainly does not put out a good name for other honest Automotive Parts suppliers.
Thanks so much for this experience John...nothing like a little extra stress in life

All this sounds like a scam to me... but I'm paranoid anyway. :dunno:

Call the cops if you have everything in writing. If not...chalk it up as a life lesson, don't have faith in humanity anymore...it's an expensive lesson to learn. If cops don't recover your money....refer to post #3
