So mad I honestly cant describe it...

OK, so here is a little background info on me...I work 20-30 hours a week, I'm currently enrolled in 23 credits this semester in college, which include Calc2, Physics based on Calc2, Chem2, and 2 Gordon rule classes(5000 word writing classes), along with another class that should be considered a Gordon rule class. Every so often I get into arguments with my parents, who doesn't, and it is usually no big deal afterwards, one of us end up apologizing and we're fine. So today, I have school for about 14 hours off of around 4 hours of sleep, I walk into my room to see my bed sheets removed off of one corner of my bed, and so of course, I'm wondering whats going on. I ask about it and my mom says the cat knocked over a glass of water or something, so I'm like oh, no biggie. This was around 9:30pm. I start to get into bed and I start to smell something weird, so I smell the bed where it was wet and realize that it is milk. Milk that is starting to go a little bad because of the heat. This is around 11pm, and so I question my mom about this, and I'm asking why she didn't clean it up, since my door is usually shut, this is her fault. She says she didn't know which is fine, but then she refuses to clean it up. Thats what makes me mad, is just the fact that if I decided to not clean up a mess that was my fault due to an animal, I would catch so much shit. So I walked out of the house and went for a drive, came back and cleaned it all up, which went through the bed, it didn't just pool on top, and left everything I cleaned out in the hallway along with a note about how I feel. I never thought I would be able to lose that much respect for my parents, but it really did happen. I think thats about it, thanks for reading and commenting in advance.

Grow up. Why shouldn't you have to clean it up?

Because it probably happened when I was in class and now that it soaked into my bed. It was just really inconsiderate and I'm sure you wouldn't be happy about it either. If it happened when I was in the room, I would have cleaned it, thats not the problem.

If you lived on your own and it happened, you would have to clean it up when you got home. Why shouldn't it be your responsibility to clean it up now?

Its your room with your bed and your glass you left there...Why should she clean it up?? Plus she didn't know it was milk so if it was water, leaving it to dry is fine. You should not be getting mad at your moms for this. Immature and disrespectful.

+1, if you left a glass beside your bed and your cat knocked it over, then you should have to clean it up. you also said that your mom didn't know about it, so if she didn't know about it, what makes it her responsibility to clean up a mess that the cat caused because of a glass of milk that you must have left beside your bed. PLUS you say it's her fault, how the hellis it her fault that a cat knocked over YOUR glass onto YOUR bed.

what pisses me off isn't the fact that your mom didn't clean up your mess, it's the fact that spoiled brats like yourself think they're better than their parents. they're paying for you to live at their house, and you have the audacity to tell them what they have to do in their house that they bought with their money that they earned. what have you done to deserve a place under their house? you were born? well just grow up and start cleaning up after yourself, it's a good thing to know how to do.

Either way, it means he's just a bratty teenager or some 20 year old still living with his parents.

If I had ever told my mom to clean up milk spilled in my room on my bed she would've beaten me with the cat, the glass, the bed and anything else she could get her hands on.

Did your mom leave a glass of milk in the bedroom? If she did, I guess she'd be responsible for whatever happened to it.Maybe if you'd cleaned up a bit before you went off to school, it wouldn't have happened.

Kids who treat their parents like a maid service give me the shits.

Now go clean up your room, or you're grounded for life!

Well, not that it matters to you guys, but I apologized to my mom later that night about my attitude. I was just having a really rough week. Everyone has their bad days, but I guarantee I work a hell of a lot harder then almost anyone, and I'm only back at home because of financial problems...I did live on my own in VA for a while and I actually plan on moving out in another semester or two when I finish up, depending on how much I do in the summer.

So as I said, it was a rough week and I ended up apologizing, I don't like leaving bad impressions and I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong.

Just as fair warning, if this minor incident made you so mad you "honestly couldn't describe it" then it's going to fuckin' suck to be you when you leave college and have to go out into the world.

Cool you did the right thing by appoliguising...We all have bad weeks but try to have respect your parents.

In every thread you have to mention something about a prep and how much you hate them. No one cares, so keep your immature thoughts to yourself.

yeah i understand bad weeks, last week i had 2 midterms, 3 tests, 1 quiz, 1 assignment, and a practical exam, not to mention i was feeling pretty depressed the first few days of the week so it was pretty shitty. that's why i made it up with a weekend in Montreal. quebec (the province right beside mine) has a legal drinking age of 18 instead of 19 where i live, so we had a sick weekend. all i have to say is that i love irish car bombs.

and you did the right thing appologizing, i used to be a fucking terror child when i was in my early teens and earlier, i feel so bad for my parents because of that. anyways, i've got to go recover from this weekend, gotta love reading week.

I can completely understand the frustration and stress that comes with school and work...another straw can usually break the camel's back, as they say.

You did the right thing by appologizing...you are living at home, so your folk(s) call dibs on the rules of the house, etc. But just imagine how much harder it would be for you if you had to move out.

Oh, and this works too :)

A prep is an overprivledged brat with upper-middle class or wealthy parents that hangs out with other overprivledged brats with upper-middle class or wealthy parents and thinks that bands like Fall-out Boy are emo. They make up aproximately %67 of ricers age 16-18.

Actually, I lived out in VA for a year and it was a lot easier then living at home, and I'm only back for the next semester or 2, so a total of like a year. I found that when I'm on my own, I take more responsibility and actually keep my place nice. Its odd how people work lol.

No, I AM overprivleged with upper-middle class to wealthy parents, but I got kind of fucked up early on in what is THE most pathetic sob story ever, so now I lack the mind set to become one. Plus, my dad was a high school drop-out who worked really hard to build his companies to what they are today, so he dosen't just hand me shit.

And fall-out Boy is definately not emo...

Haha, I basically did that, except that spray part...I just poured, much easier to do and it already went through the mattress anyway, so I guess that made sure it was clean. :)
