I was chillin' at the soccer field watching my friends practice and I heard a loud noise..that sounded like a mini-van hitting a civic..unfortunately my ears were right. My friend didnt see my car parked behind his mom's van and backed into my door naturally, i wanted to cry and shit myself at the horrible sight, but I managed to keep my cool and just got the kid to call his dad (who is a doctor and can afford it, dammit) whom called his insurance company and sorted everything out. i'm getting the damage looked at tomorrow. I'm glad I didnt get hit by some asshole, andhow...you all get to look at my poor baby and laugh

Sucks, I hate it that people can't driver worth a shit. Were you parked anywhere behind them, or was it just a tight parking lot?

yea, my car was parked behind the van along with about 10 other vehicles. I think the average person could see a bright teal car..but its ok..its getting fixed. Sux about the accord though, the newer ones are beautiful

That's not bad....a spot of touch up paint and some compound and it should polish right out. ;)

I don't get how these kinds of accidents happen. It just eludes me. Okay, yeah, you're drunk. Or, your'e doing 160 on the freeway and lost control. Or there was ice on the road. Or rain. Etc. But doing under a 0.5 mph while backing out in a low-to-zero traffic area and hitting a *stationary* object is just...priceless.
Here's one for the books. I was in my eclipse at the college parking lot about a year ago. Had the blinker on, was waiting for this lady in a small hatchback to back out so I could pull into her spot. At the same time, I was chatting with a friend of my who was walking to his class, and was waiting for me to park so we'd go together. I was a nice distance away from the lady that was backing out. Well, she backed out slowly. Okay. Got a little closer to my car, that was okay...most people brake a little later than others, and it's all good. Okay, she hit me. And continued backing out into me and pushed it back a few feet before she decided to stop and put her car in first gear. All this time, I had my hand on the horn, screaming at the top of my lungs at her, fumbling to shift my car into reverse so I could escape this crazy b*tch, with my friend banging on her trunk and yelling at her to stop. It was un-fckin-believable. No wait, there's more. She started rolling out like nothing happened, did not even turn her head. You'd think that between my friend thumping on her trunk and my horn and yelling she'd notice something was not right. Nope. No worries. My buddy finally had to run up infront of her car and slam his hands down on her hood for her to brake (given all the drama that had already happened, he was pretty nutty to have done that). And of course, she did not have insurance. Luckily, there was only a small scratch on my car, but my intercooler had been pushed in a tad with some piping a little off-center. I figured the damage wasnt major enough to cause a scene. So we let her off the hook and hoped that she would do the same thing to a cop car one day.
People are so damn wierd sometimes. I don't know how people like that are allowed to drive.

I got hit one time by a kid, he hit my back bumper and my bedside had a few "crinkles" in it. Not that bad but I was chasing him in my truck and called the cops, gave them the plates. In the background I heard where the kid was from but didn't remember the street address. Nothing ever happened after that, the cops didn't do shit. I even drove up to the police station for the cops to see the damage. Don't even get me started on my parents motorcycle accident, the cops never found the people who did that, and had I been of age to drive around I could have found the person.:disappoin

I just got the insurance check...the shop quoted me $991 for the damage. I never would have been able to afford that. Thank god for Geiko..
