Engine Swap

I need to put a different engine in my 92 SC and I have a few questions. It is a manual transmission can I split it at the bellhousing or does the transmission have to come out with it. Also I see 2 different letters associated with the motors does it matter which one I use and how do I tell which one I have ? Mine is a 1.9 double overhead cam. Also anyone have a engine for sale ?

The transmission needs to come out with the motor. Since you have a 92, you need to find another 92 motor. The crank trigger is different and will seriously confuse your computer if you put a later motor in.

cat fuzz is correct, but 91 motor will also work if you reuse the 92 engine mounts which mean you need to swap over a few brackets and the timing chain cover.
