I know I am not the first person to ask this, but I have dial up and the search is taking forever, what are the choices for wheels? I mean would wheels off a 6 bolt chevy fit my 2001 trooper? Or maybe off a toyota? anyone know the specifics on what WILL work and what will not? I would appreciate it very much! thanks

OH my trooper is a 4x4 with TOD (torque on demand) probably helpful.

Any year past 92 Trooper wheels, and also Rodeo, Axiom, Vehicross wheels will fit, thats a pretty good selection, there were some pretty nice looking wheel designs, in there, that's all I can tell ya, I myself was thinking of switching out my current stock 18" VX wheels with some smaller wheels but bigger tires (= better ride quality...)

Well my stock wheels are pretty decent, they are the 5 spoke alloys, but I wouldnt mind something a little wider, if you look on the aftermarket sites they dont have much. I know the bolt pattern is the same as a 6 lug chevy, but the issue I worry about is the hub center hole. I think the center hub hole on the chevy rims are smaller, so trooper rims would fit a chevy, but not vice versa. but I could be wrong. I just know you can pick up a classified and find a set of wheels and tires for a chevy, how often do you see a set for an isuzu? If anyone knows for sure, or maybe has some other makers wheels on the trooper, let me know!
Thanks

Personally, I visited a Discount tire store a bit ago and tried ALL kinds of rims that they said *should* fit, problem is the Isuzu's have big hubs - they even tried some Chevy rims, but wouldn't fit, as you've already wondered.
BUT, I have heard of people using Chevy rims on Isuzu's - I just don't know what rims or what *year* of Chevy rims they were using.
FWIW - Discount tire had 10 choices of rims for Isuzu's - only 2 different rims actually fit, I told them they needed to make corrections to their website options as well as telling people what does and doesn't work.
I did end up with a set that I like, but they weren't my first choice. They are the Blitz's in the 16x8 size, they are a LOT lighter then the OEM steel wheels I had.
Depends on if you're looking for off-road steel wheels or alloy; I personally off-road as well as a lot of highway travel, but I got tired of the heavyness of the steel rims and they were real skinny, 16x6.

Oops, yeah, guess so - post deleted.
Do you have anything to add to the actual question? You've been around and seen your share of Isuzu's, I'm sure you can add something to assist the original poster maybe??
