that sucks.

the most tired i've been was during frosh week. I was rowing and doing frosh week, meaning i would get home around 2, sleep by 2:30, wake up at 4:30, go to university, row. it was nuts, i was so drained. i decided to put off rowing after 3 or 4 days because when i was driving home i started hallucinating. I was driving, saw a cat run accross the road, then looked and it was a plastic bag on the side of the road, i also saw a dog run accross the road, it was a big rock.

to be honest, not many people are going to get much sympathy from me about sleep, i mean yes it sucks that you're tired, but i spent the last 2 months of high school and the first two months of university in a constant state of sleep deprivation.

Yea, all nighters blow.

I highly suggest that 5 Hour energy stuff;
http://www.epinions.com/images/opti/04/28/Chaser_5-Hour_Energy_Drink-resized200.gif

It taste absolutely horrible, but does indeed last quite awhile. I try to stay away from energy drinks, they give me that instant zing but once they wear-off (which they do in ~45min or so), I feel alot more tired then I did prior to drinking one.

That 5-Hour stuff didn't give me that zing, but it did "sustained me" or kept me conscious enough, for a few hours.

I know the feeling, I was up until 2am then in the shower at 6:30am.

Being tired sucks.

Being tired and having to think about mission critical things sucks more.

I've got a Tim Horton's (a popular canadian coffee shop, they're as popular here as waffle shops are in some spots in the us) down the street, it's open 24hrs/day so i can drop by, grab a cup of coffee, tea, food, whatever to keep me going. the fact that it's open 24/7 is great because i'd grab myself a green tea before rowing, usually around 4:30, to help me wake up. when handling $20,000+ boats that early in the morning i'd rather be awake than passing out, dropping one of those sucks.

I just finished my day, I did everything I had to do without sleeping through anything. I've been up for 33 hours, so now it's time to crash...

And yeah, Chris is right, I can't nap. When I'm out...I'm out for good.

and dammit it looks like i'm pulling one tonight. i've got a 10 page case study due tomorrow and, being the dumbass that i am, i haven't started it yet.

Yeah, I'm past being tired and now I'm just wired, so I'm still awake.

And yeah, I went to all my classes today, and did fairly well on the tests I had...

Yep, college will do that to you. It prepares you for the real world except in the real world most people go home and sleep after work, unless you're a doctor or somebody else that makes a lot of money and has no life outside of their job... haha...

Hope everything turned out for you. I'll never forget the time I dropped acid stayed up all night and memorized the first 12 lines to beowulf in Old English for linguistics class in the wee hours in the morning. I aced the recitation but I don't exactly know how, except that there were tracers coming off of the professors head... LOL

well it went ok, i would have done alot better with two or three more hours to work on it but oh well. i'm starting to get tired now, the first part of the day was spent in a state of tiredness that was intense enough that i was wide awake, the usual simptoms of an all-nighter.
