- If removing the blower motor you will also have to remove the glove box.
- Or you can slide the body control module(BCM) to the right ,
then you can access the remaining screw.
- To remove the glove box(GB), thier are five 7mm screws holding it on.
- Open GB door.
- Remove those, slide GB forward slowly, then reach on top and uplug the GB lamp wire harness.
- Three 7 mm bolts(circled in red) hold blower motor in place (http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c242/xeroinfinity/SeCond%20Hand/blowermotor1.jpg)too.
Removing/Replacing Resistor
- Here is a pic of the resistor plug area (http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c242/xeroinfinity/SeCond%20Hand/resisitor22.jpg).
- Unplug before attempting to remove.
- Remove the Two 7 mm bolts holding resistor in place(circled in red).
- swivle comes in handy here-
- Pull resistor straight down to remove.
- Here is a pic of the old verses the new resistor (http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c242/xeroinfinity/SeCond%20Hand/blowerresistr.jpg).
- Install in reverse procedures.
- TIP #1- If you are replacing the resistor you may want to remove the blower motor for easier access to the resistor, which is behind the blower against the firewall/floor board.
- Tip #2 - laying your floor mat over the doorway opening makes it more comfortable on your back!
