rusted brake lines

just a heads up-my brakes went out couple days ago,luckily right in front of my house.pulled it in,the right rear wheel brake line that is up behind the spare,in my '96 windstar sprung a leak,totally rusted.i do live in pennsylvania where there is always salt in the winter.i replaced both lines to the rear wheels,that run all the way to the front,one was worse than the other.oh,by the way,had it inspected just a month ago--you know the yearly "safety inspection"we have!seriously,just look up behind your spare tire,the worst area for rust,it is important to have brakes.

There was also a recall on one of the front brake lines. I had just hooked up a trailer to pull in a home coming parade pressed on the brakes and the pedal went straight to the floor. Lucky for me it was in front of the house and not in the parade. So I took my sons car in had a hitch installed and was able to still pull the float. I also have a 96.
