I've never heard of either of those... If you want good results then I'd try Por15... Its expensive but it works so good. It makes a perfect undercoating for any vehicle and it does NOT come off. So don't get it on your skin or it'll be there for several weeks. lol

I had rustproofing professionally done on mine when I got it. Since my dad worked at the dealer at the time, I got it at cost. I think they charged somewhere around $500 for the job, and I got it done for $120. I think it was called "Auto Armor" or something like that. They did an excellent job, and I'm sure it added value to the car over the long run. If you have the money, check that out.

What exactly is it? Does it just go over the exsisting paint, like a clear coat? or on the bottom?

Its an undercoating. It makes it like a semi-gloss black and it will not come off once its on. So if anybody does this, again, do not get it on your skin or on anything else you don't want it on for that matter. lol

It is almost like a tar material that they coat the underbody with. I'm pretty sure they also did something to "replenish" the clear coat, but I don't think that did much since I have clear coat flaking off already anyway in a few parts. The underbody stuff they did though was top notch. If you jack the car up, all you see is black except for the exhaust and a few other things. Once the stuff hardens after a few hours, your good to go and rust is hard to get underneath even if you live in a state that believes salt is better than actually plowing the road like mine.

I had rustproofing done on my new rav4.
For 400 bucks they scotch gaurd the seats, undecoat the car, and then seal the paint with what is like another clear. It keeps the salt from eating your car. It's worth it if you live up in the salty north or say at a beach.. Otherwise it is probably a waste?
It was like 125 for just the rustproofing
