ok, so right now i am building up my recharing system in my car . ( 0 guage big3, with a H/O alt and a optima red top [ i don't listen to my music with the car turned off] now my b-day is in a month and my parents said that they will buy me new speakers for my car. now their price range is betweem 200-250 bucks. the only thing i want atleast is that the rms be atleast 90. the one speakers that i was looking at are the new alpine type r speakers ( the one with 110 rms) but i have to admit i only know mainstearm stuff. so i was hoping that some of you non mainstream people can guide me good componots for the 200-250 bucks mark.
any opionion on these

and today i decided that i am not going to get rear speakers at all. so it will just be the componots for highs and mid.

I meant per speaker ..... so $300-500 per pr of midranges or tweeters. It's what I have been concentrating on lately, I have started (slowly) putting the rex together. A good thing to do is to look for group buys if you can wait a while. I got a pair of scanspeak 4.5" mids for like $300 shipped - they are usually $450ish shipped, I got my SI Mag 15D2 for $350 shipped - it's $500 list, etc ...

there are TONS of car audio sites out there .... I belong to at least a dozen, I don't go in much - just to keep up with what is going on. As you sign up, check them every week or so, if one has a group buy they will post it in a lot of the other forums to get people signed up because the thing with a GB is that you have to have a minimum order to get reduced prices.
I think AF has done group buys for car performance parts before.
