Can I Take UCF to Court?

This is ridiculous. I'm at a fucking university, where everyone is an adult, and they've somehow managed to block every porn site known to man.

What happened to the land of the free? Doesn't this count as taking away my personal freedoms?

I don't even want to watch porn anymore, I'm so frustrated...this is SO STUPID!!

I don't know how long they've been doing it for. I know they said something about it at the beginning of the year, but I thought, "No way....They can't possibly de-porn the internet."

And somehow, they've managed it.

I don't see the point in the depornification of the internet. All its gonna do is create more aggravated students.

if its on their machines, then it makes sense.
if they blocked it on their wireless network and highspeed network so you cant see it on yur own machine, then its a little extreme, but still understandable, as large amounts of porn floating around their campus just looks bad.

If you're connecting to the internet through a university provided service to you for free, they can block anything they want since they're paying for it.

They probably have all the illegal download sites blocked too.

It's not like I'm in high school sitting in a computer lab trying to watch porn. I'm in the place that I live. I live on-campus. I'm on my personal computer, in my own room. What I do privately shouldn't matter. I can see them blocking it in labs and on computers they own, but not in residence halls.

The whole campus, regardless of whether you're in a computer lab or on a residence hall is on one hub, if they unblock one they unblock all.

Did you read the user guidelines they gave you when you accepted the connection details?
It's kinda like being an AF member, by becoming a member you agree to abide by the user guidelines - by using their connection you agree to follow their rules.

To tell you the truth, that is how I used to hide it when I hade to.
Now it's all kept in "My Videos" ready for viewing at a moments notice. I couldn't care less who knows I watch porn.

Sounds like you could make a killing at UCF teaching people how to get their porn back. I'd require a percentage of your profits though as a finder's fee. I usually charge 40% but for you Oz... 39.5%

But, simple solution:
Find somebody who lives off campus, get a USB disk or external harddrive (depending how much pr0nz you need), save as much as you want on there, put it on your computer. Repeat if necessary.

i keep it in my videos too. i got my cpu from my roomate(porn addict) so there is like 300 videos already on there, plus the ones i saved.....

maybe you could use a proxy site like www.ninjaproxy.com or www.megaproxy.com.

Another think you could do is download a bit torrent client and go to bit-sites that provide porn. I use torrents to get music all the time and see a lot of porn listings on sites like litebay.org, thepiratebay.org and isohunt.com. If you want a bigger list of sites, go to btsites.tk :thumbsup:.

but seriously, try the torrent sites like it was said before, that's how i got some of mine, or use the proxy sites. one site i used was guardster.com when i was at boarding school.

and i just put them in a hidden file in my documents, nobody uses my computer and the people that would look for porn on my computer don't know enough to select "search hidden files and folders" so it's pretty safe.

nope, not on my computer at least, they don't show up at all.
edit: but i hid all the files inside, so it might be different if you only hid the folder itself
