Knocking on start-up

97 blazer with 107,000 miles. Knockes on start-up then stops after engine warms up. Oil psi stays around 45-50. Oil level is normal, no other fluids are present in the oil. I am using a 5w-30 synthetic. Ran fine when i first changed over but now the Knocking is getting louder and longer. No shortage on acceleration or power. I am just trying to avoid a costly repair bill. Any comments on this matter would help greatly. Thank you for your time!

Mine quiets down after a new oil change.
How many miles on your synthetic and what brand because some like Castrol Syntec (from what I've read) are not real synthetic but what they call hydroformulated...extra processed dino that the API accepts as "synthetic".

Welcome to AF pomichalek78. What type of knock does it sound like? Does it sound like bearing noise, lifter noise, or piston slap noise? How long does the noise last for?
