The car I am modeling: I am keeping the gold wheels... I like the impact they have!

Using the Aoshima kit. I wish they had given us a full "Race" interior. Nonetheless, I am going to give it a "Race look" but since its curbside, I dont think it will get the full rollbar treatment.
Body was painted with Tamiya Park Green. It was LITERALLY sprayed directly over the finely sanded and prepped body. I gave it a light polish once it dried fully.
The decals on the kit are far from accurate. The tears on the car were mylar chrome. I simulated them using bare metal foil. I painted the yellow portions with Tamiya clear yelow by hand directly over the BMF to give it the gold anodized look. The rest of the decals were applied as per instructions.
Here are the results... hope you like.

I started this one as many of you remember over 2 years ago.... Tamiya park green spray bombed right over the kit plastic and polished smooth. I replaced the silver tears with bare metal foil (quite an undertaking!!) Then colored the edges with clear yellow for the gold parts. I have progressed in the last week
Body done, wing carboned, and headlights and tail lights in place.

Aoshima did not provide a proper race stripped interior or rollcage so I did it myself by adding holes to the rear package shelf and a scratchbuilt roll cage painted silver and one coat of omni. I will add fully detailed bits next.

Nice work, great finish on the paint & also the chrome tears, looks awesome.
I to wish Aoshima had done a race interior for these kits, considering that they released about 6 of these drift cars all with factory interiors.
The only thing i would say is that the windows dont look realistic, not that that is your fault, it is a problem with the kit, they are far to recessed, I managed to fix mine but it took ages
Cant wait to see more
