Thanks to movies like tokyo drift where there's a billion people(almost not exaggerating!) and traffic out the arse and they're drifting around cars.. Tell me, if your trying to outrun someone, WHY DRIFT? Drive in a straight line and leave 'em. I do my "excessive driving" on empty, flat straights with no one around... I may be dumb, but I'm not an idiot. :)

The cars in that movie had poor performance. they could probably only get up to about 120mph. and that's using NOS. besides, it looks better in movies if you act crazy and try to kill yourself.

Don't forget that each chase/action scene is highly scripted and practiced over and over.
