Can anybody tell me how the rally center caps from the old corvettes and camaros attach themselves? Im wondering if they will clip on to my stock steel wheels from my 89 Caprice or if modifications can be made to the caps to work?

i dont think so... then again im not an expert. it looks like the hub on the rally wheel is deeper than the stock steel wheel. they just pop in the center of the rim, there is a ridge on the center cap that snapps into the hub of the ralley rim

beat88ls is right, they cant fit in your stock rims. you would have to get the style rim the caps actually came off of.

I actually tried it, lol. We have a couple of them and I tried them on my 87 rims and they wont work cause theres nothing for it to clip onto. the middle is different

The rims have tabs around the center hub that a ring in the cap attaches to to hold it "firm". I use firm loosely (pun intended) because every time you'd hit a good size bump they become projectiles. I started putting plastic repros on after I lost 2 original metals to protect my wallet and for public safety. :(

Thanks for the replys guys. I'm just tossing ideas around for either different wheel covers or rims.
