I live on the coast near Hilton Head, SC and gas is $1.95.
Edit 10-26-06: Enmark ahs it for $1.94
Just wondering what the price of gas is where you live.
We're between Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC and both have big ship ports so maybe the ships bring gas in so they don't have to truck it so far.
Friend in Port Charlotte, FL says it's $2.15 at Sams Club.

I saw reg @ Chevron for $2.31 yesterday (Oct 20) and E-85 for $2.19. Under $2 sounds much better.

$1.85 is the best price yet. Do you know why it's lower in Oklahoma?
A friend in Cocoa Beach, FL says its $2.14.
www.gasbuddy.com (http://www.gasbuddy.com) shows lowest prices all over the USA.
Zip code for our area in SC is 29902.

I don't know why its lower in OK. There was a segment on the local news that said OK had the lowest in the country and speculated its because of oil companies located in the state. Not that I am complaining. I'm getting ready to head back to OH this week and hope the prices along the route are low (amazing how we call $2 low now). I noticed in my travels today that the prices have mostly stabilized 1.94-1.99. Low of 1.94/High of 2.09.

I just filled last night at $2.29/gal outside Chicago. In Chicago, 2.39-2.69 depending on brand. E-85 I think is at 1.89-2.09.

"over night here it went from 2.08 to 2.28" WOW! Went up 20 cents overnight? It's done that before from $2.00 to 2.05 overnight but never shot up 14 cents in one day. Undoubtedly all the gas stations have a secret communications system because I filled up today and it was $1.94 and two hours later past the same place and $2.08 Well, all they got'ta do is change the sign and the pumps computer and they stick it in a litte further, only this time they twist it and don't use no grease. <Grin>
OH! This is good! Fox News said for every penny gas goes DOWN it puts one BILLION bucks in the pockets of the American consumers. Average drop for the USA is 80 cents, so that means the motoring public has EIGHT BILLION bucks more in their pocktes to spend on Hoildays and whatever, so they're predicting record spending for Christmas and the Holidays in general. They DOW has set records going so high, so I reckon it's lookin' good for the home team USA.
Hmmm . . . I just counted my change and I don't seem to have any more than usual. Do you ? ? ? ? ?

Hmmm, $2.08 less 1.94, difference = .14 :dunno:
Price keeps bouncing around, anytime someone utters Middle East, or Iraq, :disappoin
