The VX has an economy engine in it so it's slow as piss. If i'm not mistaken it's also lighter than a DX (but i could be wrong of course). The VX in my opinion looks better than any other type of civic because it doesn't have the moldings on the sides (a lot of people shave and fill in them on other models but no extra weight from the filler on the VX). Other than that i can't help ya with info. :smoker:

check it out dude...vx is the lightest 5g civic so if your going to swap in a motor for speed then this is your best bet... doing the swap will basically be the same in any 5g civic trim level doesnt really matter. the dx has black side moldings on the doors and fenders,,,vx,cx dont. vx comes with dope 12lb wheels, dx dont...vx comes with a tachometer and shift light, dx dont....BUT dx has a power steering rack and vx dont,,,this is good if your looking for speed as power steering takes away from engine power and manual steering rack isnt bad at all....

Being a VX owner myself I can tell you that yes, the engine is as "slow as piss" not doubts there. But I have side moldings on my car ya'll, hmmmm. It's lighter, true, but that's because it aint got a damn thing on in, no air, no power steering, no cruise, no real engine, hell mine doesn't even have a passenger side rear view. However, if you are lookin' to mod the heck out of it as I am, less factory stuff does mean less wieght and its a lot easier to find space to work in and add things under the hood and dash. If you just want to buy a civic cause you heard they are good cars, go with the DX or save a little and get an EX or Si.

I stand corrected. I was obviously uninformed by a friend; but all the VX's I've seen didn't have the moldings. Maybe it's certain years or just certain VX's or something. I appoligise for the misinformation. :eshooter:
