This is a very good site. They have some very cool pivate poduction kits. Can someone tell me what a PRIVATE PRODUCTION kit is and what does it mean? model roundup is the name of the site.

What no reply's? The altered wheelbase cars are nice. Some of these cars you can get from the after market guys (the body only) I thank. I like the 51 Henry J. Is this an original tooling I wonder. I can remember this car from many many years ago I thank it was in the hotrod series it could have been the Willys not sure.

Model King has done most of the "private production" kits you speak about. He has helped locate tooling, paid for new tooling to replace lost or missing tools, and committed to purchase 'X' number of kits to justify AMT, Revell or Lindberg to produce a run.

The Henry J is the same Revell kit that first appeared in the late 1960's or early 1970's. First time that it has been offered in white styrene.
