I have the same problem on my 95 cutlass supreme...the codes 75,76,and 77come up...Is there a chance that these could lead to larger problems...I've been driving the car for a year and I just got it checked out today ((i procrastinate))...I'm a college student so it might be difficult to afford to fix this issue :banghead: ...
I basically just want to know how risky it is to ignore these codes...
And if I could just clean them does anyone know where I can get a picture diagram of how to find the solenoids?

The EGR valve on these cars is a 3-solenoid digital valve, so it has no vacuum diaphram. I cannot find my OBD-I DTC list, but I believe the codes 75-77 are all EGR related. The valve is expensive ($200 or so), but only takes about 10 minutes to change (2 bolts and a gasket). You can try to clean them, but it rarely works. Once carbon gets in a digital valve, it shorts out the windings in the solenoid(s). Here is a link to the picture of the EGR valve.

The solenoids are the black parts (there's 3 of them) with the allen head screws at the top. They are not replaceable individually, only as part of the EGR valve.

94cutsupreme,
Please do not resurrect threads that are too old. I have separated your post and any responses from the one that was at least 2 years old into a new thread entitled "EGR Problem 1995 Cutlass Supreme".
It is highly recommended to start a new thread addressing your problem/issue unless the thread is relatively current.
Thank you for your future cooperation.

You might want to try to disconnect also the EGR pipe itself that attaches to the exhaust. Most of the time it is filled with gunk of carbon and propably blocking/clogging the EGR Pipe. I usually spary it with throttle body cleaner and use a coat hanger to clean it thoroughly.
