If yes then what would you like to see done to it??
engine?
tranny?
body styling?

If you vote no then state why you think so.

Negative. Cheap cars all around and I don't like the direction they went after the 02's. If they were worth continuing they would have been.

If they bring back the 1/2nd gen style they should.

Nope. Everything about these cars was ment to break in a year or under. And no I dont care what anyone has to say about that.

I agree with you lance about the direction they went with the styling after '02 I dont like it either. I think if they took the '95-'02 style and played with it alittle and throw a turbo engine in there, it would be pretty nice.

It was time for a change. Let her rest in peace. Besides in another decade or so we'll have cars that are considered classics.. Magical Number 20!

they definetly should bring back the body styling of the 95 to 02 and throw a t3-t4 turbo setup in it

IF they should do anything, they should actually push the Cavalier Z24 Technic, then I'd be excited.... http://www.v6z24.com/misc/concepts/technique

'03-and up styling only!! why would they bring back a car who looks like the hood ran into a wall and bent down?

PsychoJJ

If anything the 2.4 eco as an engine.

IMO the 03+ body style was awful. If they were to bring back the car at all, they picked the correct bodystyle :iceslolan

That is a really sweet car but im not liking the red all that much. Never have really liked red cars too much...dont know why...no offense to anyone!

Correct body styling? ha. I have yet to see one from before 03 that the hood and the headlights acctualy look like they are meeting correctly. It looks like an unfinished, unrefined, and unpolished style. At least they put some thought into the front end of the 03 and up and didn't just bend the hood down like a fat guy sat on it.

02 with eco or 2.4 z24 was the best version ever made IMO, i dont mind after 03 but i prefer the older ones better

I liked my first car very much. An '88 Z24 Convertible. Now, if they used that body styling, changed around the lights and windows, and of course some interior, that'd be like a dream come true to me. And frankly, '03's and up suck in my opinion.

If anything the 2.4 eco as an engine. With it boosted from the factory.

No, unless you like replacing: alternator, power steering pump, serpentine belt, belt tensioner, pumps, window motors, power steering pump again, blower motor resistor, etc., every year.......well then sure, bring it back http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/icons/icon13.gif

Buy a nice one in the first place and take care of it, you wouldn't ever have to worry.

Hmmm IF they were ever to bring it back, they wouldnt go with the old styling, or even the 03+. They would try to make another Mustang replica like they are doing with the new Camaro. But, they could really have lots of options for it. They could make a hybrid version to compete with the imports, and then the z24 2.4 Eco boosted (or supercharged, since thats Chevys style.) And just for arguments sake, heres a pic of the 02 compared to the 03.

Don't get me wrong, I liked my cavalier: great gas mileage, nice A/C, and cd player..........all I need. Its just that i've had to replace everything driven by Serpentine belt, including belt and tensioner, at some point. THe power windows on driver side and passenger side both went at one point. I take care of the car, but hasn't been "light" on the maintanance.

Havent had a problem with any of that other stuff you listed.

Well, except for that one minor problem (blown engine), you've been fortunate. I will say my motor is running strong, its just all the other nuisance items that sometimes gets annoying.

Lances133

I say they're gauges because the car had an intercooled supercharger, and would all the knobs be turned to the left? Because to me, it looks like the needles are, which they would be when the car is off.

my99cavy
09-18-2006, 09:51 PM
those are clear knobs you can clearly see that from the pic.

Derk_eliso
09-18-2006, 10:12 PM
looks like knobs to me..plus they wouldn't do any good being that low. you have to take ur eyes off the road to look at them...that's a great idea being super charged and all.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a175/PropsRI/evointerior.jpg

That's where they are in Evo MR's, infact they're lower. And I don't get the point of doing clear/white knobs in an all black/charcoal interior.:screwy: Another reason why I think they could be gauges and the knobs are MIA on top of being a supercharged/intercooled car is because it's a picture taken from a concept car, a prototype. The car wasn't perfected.
Also...
The instrument cluster is trimmed in silver as is the shift lever.
Which leads me to believe that the gauges were silver to match.

Alright I have a way to solve this, where did you get that picture from?? go there and write them an email asking if they are gauges or clear knobs (which I gaurntee they are :) )

Lance- Fine if you dont want to do it then I will, tell me where you got the picture from. You can totally tell from the picture that they are knobs because you can see the indentations around the knobs.

Maybe I'm missing something because I'm used to 50s and 60s cars that have more character and differences between models but what is all this about bringing back the Cavalier? When I look at a Cobalt, all I see is a Cavalier with a different name plate.

what is all this about bringing back the Cavalier? When I look at a Cobalt, all I see is a Cavalier with a different name plate.Well it was just a thought about bringing back the cavy and what kind of styling and performance wise people would like to see out of it. When I look at the cobalt I see a cobalt, not a cavalier. the body style of the cobalt is way different than the cavalier IMO.

I asked Jbo and Quad4forums, they all said grey because I guess some models came with grey. I also don't think a car would come from the dealer with clear knobs.
