Cavalier Compatable Rims from other Chevy's

I am hoping that I am posting this in the right area.
I am just looking for which other Chevy Vehicles or any other vehicles for that matter that come with stock rims which are compatable with the stock cavalier lug pattern?
I tried a search, and I really came across nothing. I did see though someone mentioned some new VW's have matching lug patterns and will work on Cavs.
I just got my first Cav a 95 Z24, and am not used to anything about it, so finding this place was a blessing. I am thinking, Sunfire's obviously will fit, then I would assume, that S-10's, Sonoma's, Firebirds, Trans Ams and Camaros, but I could be completely off. Bigger sizes are even better, as I would prefer to try and find some stock 16's or 17's from a compatible vehicle, might be able to save a buck or two.
If anyone has some knowledge on the subject it would be greatly appreciated, a list of as many as you can think of would be excellent. Much appreciated guys, hoping to be around for a while and contribute as I fix up this car from busted, to, maybe a little less busted.
Again, hoping I put this in the right place.

the bolt pattern is 5 x 100. any rim that is 5 x 100 will fit. just making an assumption any j-body car rim will fit also.

wouldnt be so sure about other brands of chevy's fitting, that and i dont really like the look of any other rims other than the z28/ss/z24/Z06. i would look at some bmw rims, im pretty sure the 04+ model 3 series fits. but be careful on the "all 5x100" size fits all thing, u have to look out for backspacing and all that jazz. just keep ur eyes open and make sure everything fits b4 u buy anything. i dont remember what ur year cavy's backspacing is......0.42 maybe? for some reason that rings a bell.

Thanks for the responses guys, I'll keep them in mind. :)
The reason I ask, is because I am off to the junk yard today and they have got a few decent rimmed smashed up cars which might look better on my Cav than these non-stock crappy after market things the previous owner has substituted on my Cavalier. So basically, I am looking for something stock, decent looking from another car that would fit, even if they still happen to be 15's or what not. Any more input would be great, and I thank you guys for your input again.:)
I'm also just checking into getting brand new rims from one of these places I've seen linked on the forum, wheelmax or tirerack, but I am a bit strapped for cash at the moment, so we'll see.

A lot of the cars you mentioned are RWD and it wouldn't be a good idea to put them on the car.

i always wondered what the hell is the difference between the rims on awd, rwd, and fwd cars?
i have celica rims circa 2001... but i got them from someone who had them on an 84 box caprice... he had yokohama tires on em... i just recently threw some khumo's on them...
but anyway, whats the difference

rwd cars usually have wider/larger tires in the back. henseforth, it woud be pointless to put them on a fwd car. now as for awd i was wondering the same thing. i think some wrx rims would look mighty fine on a cavy...just my opinion though

i think some wrx rims would look mighty fine on a cavy...just my opinion though:iagree: some of the WRX rims would like sick as hell!! They would work except for the whole AWD thing because the bolt pattern on them are 5x100 except on the '05 and up are 5x114.3

Yeah, some of those WRX rims would be a nice fit, personally thos SRT rims looks even better, and if I can find 'em cheap maybe second hand, all the better as long as their in decent shape.
I just wanted to get something else on this car before I start driving it, because personally I think these things on it now look terrible.
Someone asked for some pictures of the rims, well here's one below. They may be stock from something, but I do not remember ever seeing a cavalier stock rim come looking like that. As I said above this is my first Cavalier so I am used to seeing Firebird/Trans Am, Camaro rims, and not so familiar with what will and won't fit these lugs. So as long as they fit, and look half ways better than these ones I have now, suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks for the stuff you guys have already provided, I'll look into finding some 2002ish WRX rims or soe of the SRT rims, that guy has on his Cav there.

Exactly what I said when I saw the rims, "What the hell are these from?"
Just looking for something cheap to make it look decent, because with the rims I have on there, I think the car might just refuse to take the road.:grinyes:
Checked out those ebay auctions, not too bad, especially the one which come with tires. Gonna see if any of my friends have anything they can part with that might fit my car, might find something that they wouldn't mind giving up for dirt cheap. :)
I'm really liking the look of those WRX rims though, so maybe I can find some cheap around my area.
Thanks much for the help guys, keep it coming if you've got it. :grinyes:

I know this is going to sound really picky, but those are Wrx Sti rims. Just letting you know so you dont go buy the normal Wrx rims, cuz they imo suck. My friend was trying to get me to trade his for my new ones to see what they would look like on his wrx.... ahhhh sooo plain and ugly!! Anyways, what color is your cavy? I have seen some really nice looking bronze/golden Sti rims that could look nice on a cavy.

Yeah, it's this really dark purple, it almost looks black if the sun isn't directly on it.
I think I might go for some of the WRX rims when I get together some cash, though I'm not too into the gold rimmed look. After buying the car, i've got pretty much nothing left over to work with, barely enough to get it plated, insured and on the road. :cwm27:
So I have to do some work and get me some money so that I don't embarass myself with those nasty rims I currently have on there for too long.:grinyes: I can handle the dings, dents and scratches, that's character you know, but the rims, just can't live with those things.
Completely off subject of why I started this thread, but can anyone tell me if the rear quarter panels are indeed welded at any point on a 95 cavy? I mean welded to a point where I couldn't just unbolt most of it, and then pry what's welded loose. It appears to have a small bit of spot welding holding it on under where the trunk lid lies, but I don't feel like tearing her insides out to maybe see if I can unbolt it to get it free. Hope someone knows that. I'll also do some searching around here on my own to find out on my own if I can, figured I might as well ask you guys while you're in here. :)

Well, I have some small dents which can be taken care of easy enough and a little rust below the gas lid which I have taken care of in one quarter panel. But at the bottom near the ground effect it is pretty rusted out. Check the picture below.
http://img109.imagevenue.com/loc560/th_86265_Picture_075_122_560lo.jpg (http://img109.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=86265_Picture_075_122_560lo.jpg)
Now I don't want that to all be reformed with bondo, and I thought it might be easier to just replace the panel, and get it painted proper when I paint the car. Strangely the opposite side in the same place by the ground effect hasn't even a hint of rust. :eek7:
On the other quarter panel I have a crease dent about one and a half feet long, in the picture below.
http://img101.imagevenue.com/loc421/th_86253_Picture_074_122_421lo.jpg (http://img101.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=86253_Picture_074_122_421lo.jpg)
This one I am not so worried about, except for it's proximity to the bend in the quarter panel there going under. Might be an easy pop job, and some sanding to get out the scratch, but if the panels come off easy, then I may just opt for replacing both, if I can find a cheap pair. Then again I may just do what I can with the rust and scratches and dent's and call it a day, because I'm not trying to make a show car or anything.
I really think they do weld these panels on every damn car, which is a shame, because it just makes things more difficult, and doesn't really need to be done in my opinion. I was quoted $700 to remove and weld a new one onto my 79 Trans Am, which is nuts.

Hmmm interesting. If your going to go the route of actually swapping them for new ones and you dont have the know-how or tools to do it, then I would suggest taking it to a body shop and letting them mess with it. But with whatever route you go best of luck with it

You could just tac-weld a piece of sheet metal, or you could use those nail gun type things with the nails to shoot into the surface and then shave off the top of the nail thing, WTF i cant think of the name of it, sand that down and then use bondo. So it wouldnt be ALL bondo.

dont mean to dog on you 99cavy, but nowhere in his previous posts does it say he doesnt have the "know-how" or "tools" to do the job. I dont know the answer myself but am confident i have the skills to do it myself......it would just take a LONG LONG time. now as for the nail gun thing....i also cant think of the name but know exactly what he is talking about. they are pretty expensive from what i remember. but i am with 99cavy on the idea of just letting someone else do it. they can do it a lot lot faster and some garages guarantee their work for some amout of time.....at least the ones around here do.

Well, I don't have the know how perse to make it look perfect, I might be able to get it close, but cornering with bondo, is a job for a pro. So I think if I were to fix that spot and not just replace the whole panel, I would be letting a pro work on it, like you said most guarantee their work.
I can work with small dents and filling little spots in with bondo, but without a garage, I don't want to even start attempting the hard stuff. Creating a flush body line with bondo is a nightmare.
Either way I go, sheet metal with the rivets, which might be a decent idea, rent the tool instead of buying, changing out the quarter panel or creating a bondo master piece around that edge, I'll probably take it to a shop to have it done. May be a shot in the pocket at first but I am sure I'll be happy with the results afterwards, where as I can't guarantee my own work.:grinyes:
Seriously, you guys have been helpful with everything, I hope to be around some when I need more help and to share my input where I can. Good forum, glad I found it.
