04 Tacoma 2.7 Spark Plug Replacement

I have a 2004 4x4 2.7L 5 sp. I'm trying to change the spark plugs. 3 of of the 4 plugs are obstructed by the air intake and what I think is the throttle body. I was able to loosen the clamps on the air intake hoses and move it to the side. However, the "throttle body" is hard plastic. I cannot figure out how to loosen and remove it to access the spark plugs.

I have a Haynes manual (T-100/Tacoma '95-'04). However, it shows older engines in the pictures that seem to be slightly different than mine. Can anyone help me?

Thanks,

Bob

Welcome to the AF!

See page SF-30 in the 2RZ-FE/3RZ-FE portion of the 2003 Tacoma FSM in the sticky at the top of this forum (see the link below). Isn't the engine shown, your engine? They only have to remove the air cleaner hose and resonator as a unit. Are you mistaking the resonator for the throttle body?

Brian,

You're correct. I did mistake the resonator with the the throttle body. I'm going to give it another try. I appreciate your help.
