I have been here offering Ford support since I am a Ford tech. Today, this 1994 Tempo came in for an inspection. I gound that the rear springs were broken and the left rear wheel cylinder was leaking and it would not pass unless he fixed it. He said that he was going to find another car. I asked himwhat he was doing with the Tempo. The customer said "I dunno, maybe junk it." I told him I would pay his bill ($56.35 for insp, emmision, and oil change) if he gave me the title :naughty:

Guess what? I got a Tempo!

2.3L 4cyl
5spd manual
A/C

I love the gas mileage on this car! I am getting around 32 mpg out of it and it only has 62,000 miles on it. I will post pics later.

Awesome deal. I've had two of them both were great cars. Wish I had a 5 speed when I had them though.

That's so cool! My first one was a 1990 Tempo (Strawberry in color; 4 door with a luggage rack on the trunk!) that my dad helped me buy when I graduated from college that year. I sold it in 1993 when I bought an Explorer. I was sad as it was a great car, took me to and from my first job, went on my honeymoon when my husband and I married in '91 and of course it was senitmental to me since my dad passed away 18 months after he helped me purchase it. :frown: I hope you get many years out of it!

Wow I guess my tempo is a fluke, This car has been a money pit since I got it. This car was bought new by my grandpa, then went to my cousin, then to my sister, then a busted break line-slipping transmission-200miles away and it was given to me. Since I;m kind of a shade tree mechanic I took on the challenge. Got everything running good and since I had known the car and had a record of every oil change I figured I was set with a free car........wrong. Alternater, fuel pump, water pump, cv's, brakes, relays, struts, all kinds of swithes, and exhaust off the top of my head and now when it gets hot it turns off and wont start until it cools down. It only has ~80k miles on plus I do all of the work myself so I keep it going but this car is killing me. So if anybody needs any tips on working on these I'll be willing to help. Just hope you all have better luck than me.
