Air Conditioner causes transmition to slip

I have a '94 Isuzu Trooper 4WD that runs great until I turn on the air conditioner for about 15 mins. or more. Then when I try to accelerate and switch gears, the transmition seems to slip and it slowly increases in speed. Sometimes it seems it isn't going to move at all. If I never use the air, then I don't have any problems at all. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the additional heat load the A/C is adding to the cooling system is heating the ATF and effecting the transmission. You could have a cooling system problem: clogged radiator, bad fan clutch, bad aux elecric fan, thermostat, etc... or your trans could be low on ATF.

Thank you for your reply. I am going to have the AC tested to see if anything shows up. I will post back what they find. Thanks:)
