It's all a matter of personal preference. Why did you post on the Delorean section?

They look really cool and the engine is in the back! Plus it's famous from being in Back to the Future!
That's about it though...

They are nice cars but consider that the car in back to the future had been a different cheap public liability insurance (http://www.public-liabilityinsurance.org.uk/) altogether do you stil think that the Delorean would be so popular?? I don't think so.
Therefore you would have to say that being famous from a film is the thing that makes them so good lol.

Define "good"
They are the only production car to have a body made of stainless steel, have interesting doors, and an interesting history.

By far the least expensive car with a true $$$ supercar seating position. The body is actually stainless-clad fiberglass.

The two features on the DeLorean that immediately stand out are the brushed stainless-steel panels that cover the body of the car and its gull-wing doors.
It's the doors that really capture people's attention. The DeLorean's gull-wing doors open upward rather than outward. When fully extended, the doors look like the wings of a gliding bird -- thus the name.
