01 MR2 engine help

Someone plese help me!!! I had a company do an aftermarket custom exhaust for me after it was done I noticed I had a hesitation or a dead spot when stepping on the gas pedal, I ws told a cold ir intake would take care of this. I put one on and it made it worse!!! Now I have the hesitation and my top speed is about 80 mph!!! What is happening and what do I need to do to fix this!!!

man i get the same thing...but except i dont i have any upgrades or havent added anything to my car,....i have a 2000.....i get hesitation as well.....the truth is that when i get an oil change the hesistation goes away for about a few weeks and then comes back.....so i really dont know whats going on....

i know your post is really old but i was wondering if you fixed it?

check ur spark plugs for sparks. if no spark , check ur distributor cap and rotor..they might be burn out and need to be replaced
