Slow drivers.

I mean, come on. wtf?

I don't care if you fly past me at 150km/h I really don't, but please, don't driver 20 UNDER the limit.

Here's were it gets just weird.

I was driving down to uni today and some noob was driving 15 under, I got stuck behind him while the other drivers, and the ones stuck behind me refused to let me in, and actually, refusing to accept that I had my indicater on, and I was forced out of the way once but some c'nt who when I tried to over take some slow noob he accelerated and forced me off, cutting me off from behind. Anyway, this total noob was driving so slow, I got around him, and proceeded to do 10k over the limit the entire trip to uni, I get to speed camera zone and the same prick FLYS past me and tail gates everyone he can get behind.

wtf mate? This guy was driving slower than walking pace, and he flys past me? wtf?!

That grinds my gears.

More coming later!

Is that what you're trying to - why why are you leaping around there, throwing those things all up in my, over there in my face? What do you want, Lindsay? Tell me what you want? Well, I'll tell you what you want, you want nothing. You want nothing. All right? I'm telling you, dirty looks get people to stop doing that. If that doesnt work, ask nicely, if that doesnt work, start choking people.

But back no subject, sometimes driving slower can be more dangerous then speeding. Often times driving slow is a sign of not paying attention.

oo yeah. so at the doctors office they switched to computers from clipboards and charts. and the nurse i had does the hunt and peck with one finger. even going that slow she had to hit the backspace key every like 5 keys or so cuz she kept screwing up. it drove me CRAZY! i was just about to ask her if i could type it for her. :screwy:

and for slow drivers...how about the people who cut you off when there's NO ONE behind you. that's been happening waaay too much to me lately. i almost totaled a dumbfuck in a neon at school cuz he tried to blow thru an intersection in the pouring rain right in front of, slammed on the brakes and started skidding, missed him by less than 5 feet.

and so then last night on my way home, out of curiosity i decided to see what my car's 0-60 was (for those of you who know what i drive...please don't make fun of me, i was doing it out of curiosity alone) so i do that and am accelerating, slow up around 65 mph and some idiot coming off the interstate, cuts me off from a complete stop and fuckin brakechecks me when i get close to his bumper cuz he was so close to me that i ended up closer than safe trying to brake in time. so instead of accelerating he brakechecks me and does 15 under. i mean wtf c'mon ARHG! sdkfh yeah..ok i feel better now. i <3 stress release for this reason

I was just talking about how much I hate that the other day. Impatience probably causes the most accidents in the world. If people would ****ing think before they drove and planned ahead instead of just doing whatever they want, there would be no accidents.

I was driving 2 1/2 hours from Bloomsburg and Im doing about 90 in the left most lane (and it was raining but I have ESP and the car was sticking so I wasnt worried) when a **cking mini van decides they want to pass the car infront of them without looking at whos coming so I have to swerve to the lane they were in to avoid hitting them, then into the shoulder to avoid hitting the person they were passing, then back into that lane. Like why would you not look at whos in the lane you are merging into. thats so f***ing stupid.

P.S. The car handled it like a dream and never missed a beat.

^After about 7 shots.

What really grinds my gears are people that have no idea how to use a blinker. You turn it on when you change lanes and OFF when you're done using it! Don;t leave it on for 10 miles!!!

Also...people that use their emergency brake when parking when they have an automatic. And they say it's cause that's how they learned...when learning in an automatic. :banghead:

People use their parking brake in autos?! I've never seen it but I'd have to slap the stuffing out of anybody I saw do it. :slap:

It grinds my gears when I go to get my alignment done after I wash my car and when I get it back from the techs there's a million greasy hand prints in oddball places! Why does my alignment involve placing a greasy hand on my rear passenger door(s), trunk, middle of hood, C pillar(s), B pillar and window???:shakehead

i use the parking brake in my auto, since i havent had a good experence with just leaving it in park. first car just rolled out of the drive way and into a tree. not letting that happen again...

00accord44
06-27-2006, 11:57 PM
And you're absolutely sure it was in park instead of neutral? Was it on a steep hill or something? Had you been having transmission issues? Cuz that just plain shouldn't ever happen without special circumstances.

But if that was indeed the case, you will not be placed on the "Slap Stuffing Out Of" list

Yeah, the e-brake in an auto thing pisses me off. I also hate it when I'm on a hill slippin it and rollin back and forth, and Mr. Richfuck gets right on my ass in his Porsche. Fuck you, cunt. I let it roll back till I think I'm about to hit him then take off. One day I will hit 'em, but oh fucking well.

People always cut in front of me, luckly I had room to slow down, but I'm waiting for the day when I don't.:banghead: and by the way us automatic guys (:frown: )use the emergency brake to keep the stress off the tranny when parking. Well acually I don't know if it does damage, but when I don't use the e-brake on a hill and I take it out a park there's a loud clunk(since the tranny has "tension" on it I guess? don't know how to explain it)

I'm learning to drive at the moment and there've been so many cars that just pull out without looking and almost hit me but I'm such a good driver that I see em coming. wankers. Also I was waiting at the lights the other day and there was a car in front of me who didn't know what the hell they wanted to do and this guy behind me starts beeping at me and abusing me.. You know what grinds my gears? People whos gears get ground by people who use thier parking brakes in automatics. God for-fucking-bid. AFTER i fix peoples e-brake systems (in automatics) that have frozen up from nonuse, i tell them to get into the habit of using it when they park. So then it doesnt freeze up. So then their drum brakes adjust as they should or their lever style caliper e-brake actully goes back in when i try to turn the piston.

veil: that clunk is from the parking pawl disengaging on the transmission. In auto trannies, the only difference between "P" and "N" is a pawl that holds the transmission still. And they can break. Especially if they have a lot of force put onto them like parking on a hill.

Wel I guess it all depends on what kind of driving you do. The more city driving, the more shifting. I do mostly city driving. So I do about 7 shifts a mile I estimate with all the lights and stop signs. I think I drive about 25 miles a day so thats 175 shifts a day. very rough estimate. But either way I think we shift more than we realize. Its just that after driving for so long its second nature. I just got finished driving my friends automatic, it was sooooo aggravating. Nothin to do with my left foot or right hand:shakehead I had to hit the brakes real quick at one point and my left foot stomped at where the clutch should be!:screwy:

Yeah I guess you're right. Just getting out of my drive way and down my street(about 2 blocks) I shift about 7 times. So I guess it would be a much higher number then I realize. Have you ever gotten in an automatic and used your left foot to brake? That really grinds my gears.

00accord44
07-09-2006, 07:42 PM
Braking with the left foot just feels so odd to me. The muscle memory in my left leg has trained it to use a lot more force than necessary for the brake. Once rolling in neutral (in my car) I decided to try to use my left foot to hit the brake, I damn near gave myself whiplash.

Haha, i dunno guys. When driving automatics, i've never forgotten to use my right foot for the brake. i HAVE danced my hand around the center console looking for a stick and/or tried to "shift" the automatic lever, while stamping my foot on the footrest... but not the brake. Nowadays im so used to driving both that i don't even do that anymore.

Don't get me wrong, i love sticks, but automatics these days are getting damn good. Lexus is going to have an 8 speed in their new LS's when they come out, and they are going to be sick. Along with paddle shifters...meh.

1. I only really have/do drive manuals, the more I switch I'm sure I'd get used to it.

2. Autos are getting good but you will still never have that control over the car like you do with a manual, maintenence for these autos will only go higher, and youre badass factor is much higher driving stick.

3. I cannot afford any vehicle with an 8 speed lol
