Studio 27 (http://www.hlj.com/product/S27FP2442) made an upgrade set which has engine parts. I'm afraid no one has it in stock anymore.

I remember someone (on this forum) (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=86496) building a detailed "open" version of the Subaru Impreza WRC 2001.
The pictures in that thread are lost, but you can see them on the website of the builder.
His (http://www.kb-modellbau.at) website.
Engine pictures and more. (http://www.kb-modellbau.at/modellberichte/subaruopen/baustufe4/baustufe4.htm)

Thanks very much people. Some of those pictures are perfect and show exactly what I am looking for. I am planning on making a fully open car (maybe not the boot/trunk). I have the Studio 27 engine kit and the Renaissance open doors kit. I may potentially do a garage scene with Tamiya's mechanic figure set, but I'll decide that when I get stuck into the project.

Hi,
I also made this 3 or so years ago, however I don't have the ref pics anymore.
You can find a write up with pics on this board:-

No real issues, all goes together great. Probably the most enjoyable model I have built.

Excellent work Richie. Never thought of using it for the RAC version.
