Hi all, first post, marvelous forum here.

I found a site the other day that was going to offer some Brake Sets for 1/12 F1 cars, but, I lost the link....

The guys site has a Ferrari kit they are doing on the front page, 126C2 maybe? They had a whole bunch of planned projects, detail stuff. They were touting the brake sets as being better quality than the PP stuff.

If someone knows what I am referring to it would save me from losing my mind looking for it.

Thanks Much!!

here you go, http://www.thundervalleyf1.com/

Since there are no pics you can't really tell if they are any better than the PP sets...

EDIT: Take a look at this page www.thundervalleyusa.com, way more infos and a pic of the FW-14B brake set!

I'm obviously a bit biased in this:-) They do look nice but at that price are they 175% better than the Perfect Parts brakes?

BTW, the Perfect Parts brakes for the FW14B will likely see some upgrades and improvements when compared to the McLAren/Ferrari set.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, they're bloody nice but the price is a bit too steep.

Regards the Perfect Parts FW14B brake and PE set Ron, is that a confirmation it will happen? If so, could you please email or PM me personally when they are finally available? :D No hurry, I can wait years, just wouldn't want to miss out. :)

I agree.
The cost is staggering.

I am sure I would lose a lot of things if I spent this kind of money (Crown Jewels, Wife, Family, Car...ie Divorce)

loool but your're probably right, you can buy the whole Tamiya kit for this price...
And I am also not sure about the look of the brakes... I think I would go for the enhanced PP Brake kit.

@RallyRaider The FW-14 detail set is under development but he can't say anything about a releasedate

Hi RallyRaider,

Yes the FW14B sets are currently under development but I have no idea on a release date yet. I will post here and at the other web boards when it's available. You can also email me at racingminiatures@shaw.ca and I can add you to our email list for updates on restocks etc.

I dont understand, I have yet to see any of the Perfect Parts sets for sale and the only one on ebay went for the price of $140 US. This set is only $105 and is available now. I havent seen the Perfect Parts set so I cannot compare is it better quality or more parts that make it 175% better? Know that I have the McLaren and the Williams I will be watching your site a little closer (yes I kinow that you have the McLaren detail set) :naughty:

This is how they look straight out of the box, no paint, no details and without all the little bolts etc...

ThundervalleyF1 FW14B brake set price: 105$

But you have to keep in mind that the Perfect Parts sets aren't 100% accurate for the Ferrari 641 and Williams FW-14B but if they make some modifications for the FW-14B I would definatly go with the perfect parts brake set!

Hi Mikemechanic,

I'm not sure when I will have more just yet. The limiting step are the machined rotors which take a very long time to make. I might have a few sets in the next 3 or 4 weeks. I will have a larger batch come in after that but I'm not sure exactly when. More F641 and MP4/6 sets will also come in at soe point too.
