New 2002 Civic Si

What do you guys think of the new civic Si, in terms of looks etc. In my opinion, I like the old hatchback better, and I'm not so sure about the dash mounted shifter which according to honda allows for much quicker shifts.
Here are some of the specs:

DOHC 2.0 liter 160-horsepower i-VTEC engine under the hood. Plus there's a "performance-oriented" 5-speed manual transmission, mounted rally-style on the center dash.

It looks to much like a focus.. Im really disappointed at the direction honda is heading in..

After some consideration, I have to say that the Civic is going straight to s**t

What ever happend to the 99 si that was the best model ever why did they stop making it? as for that new peice of shit civic ill never own one or get in one for that matter.

I must be the only one who thinks it isn't ugly. I actually like it quite a bit as long as it isn't that nasty ass yellow. The CTR is even cooler than the Si. I am almost totally into the new Si except that C&D gave it a bad write up already :(.

ur right D-16 it looks alright except for that yellow, and I also hate the headlights. The rest of it is ok. Just slam it put some nice rollers on it and ur set. the CTR looks nice, I've seen a white one, looks good. I guess its just too different so people have to get used to it....like the 2001+ models...

You know I just noticed you were from Miami... me, you and Rice-Rocketeer should get together sometime. This Friday were headed upto Jacksonville with a rental ~ muhahaha! Gotta pickup some stuff and then its back here we go. Hes a busy guy ~ got school and work and fixing my car to do ~ haha! :finger: But im sure it would be cool with him if you wanted to meet up... if not thats cool, but you better be going to Daytona Beach for Spring Break Nationals :frog:

Oh and I think the new Si is nice looking. You guys are just being skeptical about it but I can assure you that when you see one on the street, you'll look at it and think that it's actually not that bad looking. Plus it'll grow on you guys.

I'm not saying it's the best ever cuz I'd take 2000 Si over the 2002 Si but I can assure that it'll grow on you guys. :)

turboedsol...Currently I have clear corners all around (plus sidemarkers), koni yellows, eibach sportlines, razo pedals, type R valve cover, AEM intake and Apexi N1 exhaust (full cat-back).

BUT.......I'm working 40 hours plus a week cuz I'm saving up for a B20 VTEC turbo. I've already bought my hondata stage 2b :)

The Honda Focus(civic si) is built 50 miles away from the focus plant . . .go figure. There are 2 things I do like about the car:The seats & Steering wheel, other than that - what the hell was honda thinking. Like we need another "Vibe/matrix" looking thing.

Why do they have a "rally inspired" shifter when Honda dont even have a freakin rally car?????????????????
