My van has finally been hit by the bad intake maifold gasket sickness too.
Is this a DIY job, or is a visit to a professional mechanic?

I've got tools and ain't afraid to use them, and a lil motor never hurt anyone.
Does anyone got a link to the procedure...want to see what I might be getting into.

thanks

The Chevy Venture forum has a lot on this subject and many tips for DIY intake manifold gasket replacement.

In case you didn't find it yet, here is the thread (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=321467) that you want. It has everything you need to know or a link to what you need to know to do the job. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd put it probably around a 7. A good shade tree mechanic shouldn't have much of a problem. If changing tires or doing an oil change gives you trouble, you shouldn't attempt it. It doesn't require any really specialized tools, but mainly is a time consuming process because of everything you have to take off to get access.
