I'm looking into converting an early to late 90's Northstar V8 4.6 liter for a Rwd sports car application. Is there an article that shows how to do this?
A few small questions, can I mount the engine vertically? Could a T-56 transmission be mated to it? Thanks

The answer is yes. I have personally seen it done on cars at shows I have attended. In particular, I've seen a 83 442 with a vertically mounted Northstar and I've seen a 55 Chevy with a Northstar. I dont know how they did it but both rods looked great. Cant recall what either used for a transmission but they were both automatics. I asked the owner of the 442 how he liked it, he said it didn't go like he thought it would and that looking back on it he should have done an LS1 swap instead.
