2001 Windstar - Radio deos not shut off

When you turn the car off and take the keys out of the ignition the radio does not shut off. It is supposed to stay on for a few minutes or until a door is opened. But this one just keeps on going.

It sounds like you may have a relay sticking. Are other ACC's still on too? Windows? Check your realys for ACC's relay and pull it out. If your radio shuts off the relay may be bad. Replace it. If the radio still is on after replacing the relay other items are at fault.

I agree with ...mint, the relays would be high on my check list.
There is also the remote possibility that the ignition switch is beginning to fail. The ignition "switch" is a black box low down on the steering column that is actuated by a sliding rod that goes down from the key tumbler. The black box is loaded with several internal slide switches.
