Overheating problem

I have 95 Windstar, 3.8L with 100K on the second engine. The last month I developed overheating problem.
I changed thermostad, radiator cup and engine coolent temp. sensor. It was good for one week (500 mil.) and now I noticed that temp. gauge is going to red zone and quickly drops down to normal and slowly moves back to red zone again. This cycle continue. Last time I checked the coolent level, it was at normal mark, and this morning the fill tank is almost full. Looks like coolent was pushed out of the engine.
Head gasket? Looking for your input.
Thanks,
Joe

Sorry to say it does sound like a headgasket. There are tests that can be done for exhaust in the coolant. I would suggest getting this done. Another thing you could do is a compression test.

How many miles on this engine?

Dan
