I am thinking of purchasing one of those cd/rom repair manuals for my 96 windstar. They go for about $8-$12 on ebay and similar sites and in their descriptions they say they cover a lot of information. Has anyone bought one of these? If so, what was your experience, did they have a lot of useful info, worth the money... Any feedback is most appreciated.

I bought a very good DVD shop manual for my 1997 Windstar at ebay. Check the following link.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&userid=karnagesystems&item=8023091688&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3AEOIBSAA%3AUS%3A31

Ask the seller if he has more DVD's. The information covers all FORD vehicles from the late 1990's. It has the shop repair manual, electrical diagrams, vaccum diagram, and has step by step instructions to cover any repair. I hope this helps.

You can download them for free if you know how to use bit torrent and google. I'm not trying to be a smart alec, but its a little big involved to do. I can download it for you and send you a disk though if you are interested, send me a private message with your email address attached.

Considering that MotorCraft/Helm charges something like $100 for a paper manual, $23 seems a little bit too good to be true. My dad told me that when something looks too good to be true, it might be too good to be true.

Are these manuals really legal and as good as advertised?
