I know this is a stupid question but recently when I put on my right directional it goes faster than normal so the bulb blinks twice as fast. I have heard that there is a metal peice that needs to be bent back to hit the lightbulb or do I need a new lightbulb?

you need a new turn signal bulb. Thats how you know if the bulb is burnt out or not.

I.m not helping you out but here is my problem and maybe somone out there can help us couse you may have the same problem starting
. I have a 1998 Contour; the tail light blinkers keep burning out. It isn’t consistent to just one side ether one time it is the left and the next time it is the right. I can’t find any thing and don’t know what to check for. I hope someone here has a suggestion.:screwy:
Thank you
Billy Mac.
