i have a 95 windstar and i can not for the life of me get it to start.
i have changed the comp, fuel pump, fuel fil, fuel press reg, and still no glimer of hope.
when i spray starter fluied in the intake it starts and runs for a second.
but its like its not getting any fuel pressure.
so i was wondering if it could be the ccrm.
thanks for reading.

It could be, as the fuel pump relay is in there.
I have pictures of the CCRM in my pictures at

I bought mine at Millennium Ford in Seattle over the web.
They seem to have good prices, and gave me very good service.
The new part is a different part number as they improved the sealing of the relays. You want to make sure that you get the correct one for your year / engine.

I am going to throw this in there but you may have fixed the problem with the above items. You know it starts with starting fluid. With little spark it will fire up starting fluid. But not gasoline. You may need to dry out your spark plugs or changed them out. Also make sure you have a full charge on the battery you may have a weak spark that does not wont to fire the gasoline.

IF this van has one, maybe a crankshaft sensor, if it doesn't think the engine is turning over, it may not try to pulse fuel injectors. See if they are getting pulsed. I would think you could just pull plug from one injectore and monitor with voltmeter

i do not have a volt meter nore do i know where the crank shaft sen/ is
i going to try to pull the spark plugs out and clean them up
hopefully its this simple but it never is.
man this van is more high mate-then my wife!
i like the idea of lots of room in the van,but theres not enough in the eng area.
thank you again. lots of help!

You need to find out if the injectors are getting pulsed while cranking. Find yourself a "noid" light and see if they pulse while cranking. If they do not, well you know you have other issues on the ECM side or v/r edis sensor or wiring! What's the static fuel pressure like with the vacuum line off the regulator?
I had similar problems with a mustang, turned out to be my injectors. When I pulled them out they were so dirty they looked like they had been buried under the junkyard for a few years. I put in another set of refurbished ones and dried the plugs. The car cranked on the first try!

A noid light set is basically a test light that plugs into the injector harnes instead of the injector. When you crank you should see the noid light flash. Harbor Freight has a set for $20. Last time I bought used cleaned injectors from a reputable guy on ebay that had an overstock, 6 for $50. I'm sure you can pull them out and run some concentrated carb cleaner through them and then replace the o rings and pintle caps and washers ($5~10 total for each injector) from parts from Napa, but in my case $50 was easier and just as cheap.
Here's the noid light set at HF:

I'll look and see if I can find a reference to what lb per hour these injectors your 95 uses. Ebay or a pick and pull will have 'em. You could buy one injector and rotate it around the possible 6 positions to find your clogged one if that's the case (and/or read the plugs).

Here's a used set for $46 for a 95 windstar, pretty much the going rate but from a salvage yard: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1995-Ford-Windstar-Fuel-Injectors-95-98_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33554QQitemZ80324979 13QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
I think we can do better on the price though and will keep my eye out for you.

I had to remove mine to clean the spray end. The rest was clean.....but for some reason, I was unable to clean the spray end with the fuel system cleaner that you put into the tank. Just a squirt of cleaner onto the spray end flushed all the crud away....and the vehicle ran much better.

My problem was a slight miss. I do not know if it would suddenly cause the problem that you are having.
