I know that this has been posted before but I cannot seem to find the answer... My rear sensors have been unplugged due to that nasty problem.. HOWEVER>>> my side door is still saying it is open.. and my interior lights were on for DAYS even after the door open light went off.. so after i burnt out my battery since the lights were on for 45 minutes at a time every time I stopped.. I pulled the fuse.. but GUESS WHAT??? the same fuse that works for the interior lights also controls the power windows!!! and let me tell you this stinks when you are going thru the drive thru for am coffee! does anyone know how to unplug ALL sensors on doors????? Thanks...

I had this same problem....found a simple solution for mine.. Get you a bottle of rubbing alcohol....and rag and clean all the sensors really well... Clean both sides of the door... worked like a charm for me.. No more bells, no more lights....

As the original poster of the instructions listed above I had to chime in on this one.. if you have any idea about cars.. you will know that the instructions listed are for the most part the same on the side doors as well. The only real differance is your not removing the back hatch plastic but the door plastic.. other then that it is basicily the same. You might not even have to remove the door plastic.. I am not 100 % sure. If those instructions look like a road map written in spanish.. well then you shouldnt be trying to fix it on your own anyways. LOL. If you cannot follow those instructions and sub the rear hatch for side door then I think you should take it to a qualified mechanic.

Anyone have a visual step-by-step process to fix this problem?

I am jumping in part way but if I understand the original poster:

They unplugged the rear hatch door sensors?

They might actually need continuity to signal a closed door condition. unplugging them may leave the wires in an electrically open state.

How do you know that your van thinks the SIDE door is open? In my van it just shows door ajar but not which door.
