Hi,
I am looking for someone who could tell me how to get the error codes from my board computer.
maby some schematics to connect the car to rs or usb port ?

I've found the ScanTool software, but can't afford to buy the cables for only 250$ :|

There's a reason those cables are so expensive: It's more than just a cable; there's extra hardware involved in getting a PC to talk to your car's OBDII port.

If you're just looking for an inexpensive way to read OBDII codes, look for a handheld scanner (you'll find them on eBay and numerous other places). You can find basic models for under $100.

And places like Autozone will dump codes for free. Be sure to ask for a list of the specific, numeric codes they read. Don't let them give you just a description like "your XYZ sensor is bad".

Search for the code number, or post it on this forum for more help.

If you *really* want to build your own OBDII hardware, here's one place to learn more: http://www.opendiag.org/
