Hi, Does anyone know how to get to the washer pump motors. It seems to me that they are under the washer fluid tank. The pump for my windshield is bad. The rear one works fine. Oh, I have a 1996 windstar. Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome yelsew,

The Windshield washer system is way simple to fix.

1. Check the fuse.
2. get a buddy! (to sit in the driver seat while you do the following)
3. Stick your head under the hood listen for a "whirrrr" when your "buddy" yanks on the "washer thing"
A. No "whirr" wiggle the connector on the washer pump while "buddy" pulls the washer arm "thing"?
1. Pull on harness connections under the Windshield fluid resevoir (gently) furiously!! Still no luck? Probably the resevoir motor is shot.
B. You hear "whirr" . . . continue
4. Stick a needle into the ejector heads while your buddy yanks on the washer "thing".

Please post back with more questions, or (especially) when you fix it.

Hi,
I've got the same problem.
the pump motor is ok. I've checked if it works by changing the connectors from back to front pump motor.
where are the fuses for the front pump motor. isin't it the same fuse for front wipes?
