instrument cluster

My daughter just had a friend install a stereo. Well that that was a mess and he wired something wrong and killed her battery. Well she took it and had a professional work on it well before she pulled out of the place she took notice that her windows where not working. Plus her drivers door would not lock using remote. Plus all her instruments are reading zero. All her lights are working. The vehichle is not coming up with any errors. She said he man said she has a short somewhere. It sounded to me a fuse was blown. Until she told me that on her way home her instruments worked for a second or 2 allowed her time to put up her windows. Then they where out for good. If it was a fuse then it should have never worked after being blown. this is a 97 grand cherokee. I do not see a relay which covers all the instruments and door locks and windows. I see fuse 14 in the book which looks like it covers a bunch in the area. Any help would be appreciated.
