Here we go again in the last two weeks I put on new tires. a re built engine and just this weekend some idiot was on the wrong side of the road. I avoided hitting him but slammed into a curb. No damage to the car per say, but I was told I have a bent subframe, need a new hub, and tie rod? This sounds like it's going to be expensive? does anyone know what this ususally runs. I don't see how hitting a curb can cause so much damage. Oh well what can you do?

Did the other guy stop? Maybe you can put an insurance claim in against him? If not, do you have collision? Probably a long shot, but maybe worth a phone call to your insurance guy... (I think that in some states, the insurance will even pay for collision damage caused by a "hit and run" under uninsured motorists coverage).
The tie rod won't be too pricey, but the hub and subframe could probably get ugly. Might be worth trying to source used parts from a salvage yard.

I put it through my insurance and they did cover it so the most I have to put out is my deductable. They told me the damage was $2,060 in total parts and labor. Thank god for insurance.
