I was watching the show Home Improvement w/ Tim Allen. And on their cable TV show Tool Time, they had a Shelby Cobra, must have been in 1/8 scale that had a real working motor! They zoomed in on the engine bay and it was a true working scale model. I imagine a project like this would cost several thousand dollars.
Did anyone see this episode? I just thought it was really cool, thought I'd see if anyone else saw this.

Yeah I saw that too. I've seen 1/4scale working engines before, they are nothing new.

Didn't see that episode but I have seen a 1/4 engine made by testors. Looks kinda kool. But I'm more into the whole look of a car rather than just specific parts. :p

I used to be in RC a while back, this guy built a drag motor capable of getting a 1/4 scale dragster up to 120 mph (real mph) so the story went....nice stuff
