84 chrysler lebaron 2,2 turbo wont start

I recently acquired an 84 lebaron convertable, 2.2 liter engine with turbo. I drove it for four days taking my other half to work and back. The only trouble it show me was going up an on ramp under heavy acceleration, it would surge and cut out three or four times, then it was ok, good compression, ran great. The morning of the 5th day I went out to start the car and it wouldnt start. The motor would try to turn over, but it acted like it wasnt getting any spark. So I bought stuff for a tuneup, plugs, plug wires, rotor, rotorcap, and proceeded to replace the old with the new, replaced vaccumn lines also. Tried to start it, and same thang. I checked at the coil for spark, and it gave one good spark then two smaller sparks . However no spark made it past the distributor. since I THOUGHT I was getting spark from the coil, and none after the distributor, I replaced the slater, also known as the plate coil pickup or hall effect. Still nothing, Knowing the pcm runs the spark to the coil and to the fuelpump and i couldnt hear the fuel pump running when I tried to turn the car over,I ended up replacing the pcm with a brand new one. That wasn't it either. I ran a jumper across from the battery to the coil, and tried to start it that way, the fuel pump kicked in and it got spark, but it would only try to start if I was spray ing starter fluid into the fuel injection system behind the air filter. However, as soon as I let go of the jumper wire, nothing.
So Im right back where I started, I know that the automatic shutoff relay and fuel pump relay both are either on or off at the same time. what was it telling me by trying to start by bypassing the asr and fpr? Would one of those just get up and fail one day?
And still there isnt any significant amount of spark at the coil, but the same one spark, then the two smaller sparks. anyone know what this would be? Im out of money replacing perfectly good parts, and have no idea where to go with this from here. please help.

Did you ever check your fuel filter? Sound like it might be clogged. After all with the car hesitating during hard acceleration it just sounds like the car isn't getting sufficient fuel.

I'm having the same problem, but minus the not starting plus surging at accelaration. :( Just started tonight, so I looked, I forgot to change my origional wires! And plugs! In a few hours *once parts place opens* I will spend all day replacing stuff. I wish ya luck with yours.

found out after replacing all that stuff that the fuel pump runs through the oil pressure switch, the car was telling me that oil level was at critical even though plenty of oil, trying that next.

my EGR valve was bad, putting too much exaust into the intake which made everything fail quicker
