AUTOART vs. KYOSHO

Just received my Kyosho M3 CSL. Like many of you, I had a hard time deciding between getting the Kyosho or the Autoart version. So here is a comparison between the 2 and 2 cents worth of my comments on them. Not exactly a review but anyhow... please don't flame if you don't agree.

In addition to the stance problem on the Kyosho that many of you have mentioned before, I would like to add the following differences between the two. Of course some of these have been mentioned before...

In favour of Autoart
1/ Hood vent on Aa is mesh, Kyosho is solid plastic
2/ brake disk and calipers rotate independently
3/ Chrome parts done better, chrome parts on Kyosho has kind of a "done to a tight schedule" feel to them
4/ BMW badges front and back of better quality, but see 9/ below

In favour of Kyosho
1/ wheels have more detail, are shinier and more lifelike
2/ wiper blades in a more correct position
3/ interior has better seats, dash.... everything inside really, Aa interior is not bad, just not as good in all areas
4/ side blinkers are clear parts, Aa painted part
5/ roof has a nicer pattern, IMO
6/ hood and boot stay up
7/ more detail in boot area, including M3 CSL sports bag, folded harzard triangle (really just a piece of purple plastic but still), tool kit (really just another piece of black plastic, but...) and inside of boot lid is carpeted too
8/ Tail lights more accurate with LED on brake lights too (correct me if I am wrong)
9/ Bulging badges on all 4 weeks, flat ones on Aa
10/ Paint finish slightly better, a little thin in some areas on the Aa (around the fuel cap)
11/ working suspension

Overall, the Kyosho is a little heavier, wheels are tighter (most Aa models have wheels which wobble a little, well mine anyway) and feels more solidly put together. In the end, it is of course down to personal preference, price and availability. These are merely my thoughts on the models.



So i will choose Kyosho, because i allready bought it

welll that an hard choice...both seems to be mint...and your analizis...is very complet...i onw a M5 from kyosho and i couldn't be more happier with it!

I'd have to go with the Autoart. Sorry dude, Kyosho makes a ncie BMW, but that Autoart is pretty sweet.

it depends.. on how much you want to spend for a diecast car..

I think both companies are pretty much same quality.....
But my vote goes to Kyosho because all of my BMW models are Kyosho and I like them all very much hehe:) ....

How much did both cost?
